I’ve been known to speak at a few conferences now and again (no, that’s not me working on my standup routine over there). If you’re looking for somebody with lots of bullet points, plenty of PowerPoint foo with a less than dynamic personality then keep looking … :-) The best talks are those that engage the audience, make them laugh (yep, I said it), get them thinking and give them take aways. Some of the places I’ve had the pleasure of speaking at:
- Ignite Portland 2: What is Ignite?
- Ignite Portland 1: Free beef and clean bathrooms: the irrelevance of Web 2.0
- Linux World Expo 2007: OpenID: What, how and why now for IT Professionals
- Ignite Seattle 2 - video
- OSCON 2003: Managing a high-quality software mirror site
- Linux World Expo 2005: Running a large-scale mirror network
- OSCON ‘07 - State of the Lightning Talk
- Mix ‘07: Digital Identity and the Psychology of Security
- Digital Library Forum Spring 2007 - OpenID
- Innotech 2007 - Spoke on OpenID, grassroots marketing and did product demo to CIO’s.
