Sounds cool. I'd love to see something like this.

@audrey I had the same thoughts about a year ago it led me to create Local Signal (http://www.localsignal.com) with the early emphasis on Portland. I wanted to capture the pulse of a city through the social web and discover new things and people around me.

LS is young, but I'd be happy to donate anything I've done if it's helpful to people and can be expanded upon with more intelligence, better views, feeds and anything else. Otherwise, I look forward to hearing more about pulseofpdx and anything I can add to it.

What seems really interesting is if it were expanded into a Portland-wide lifestream. Twitter, Flickr, blogs, maybe Upcoming or Last.FM too?

I love the idea of pulseofpdx.com. A Twitter stream of all Portland Twitter folks. Subscribe, dip your toes, just splash around, whatever. Very cool. :-)

Oh, and I love bacon-wrapped turkey at Brazilian churrascaria restaurants. And you can get a Bacon Maple Bar at Voodoo Doughnut in Portland. Yes, it's a Maple Bar with two strips of bacon on it.... ;-)
