Directory: Cool new OpenID enabled sites
The last few weeks have been busy ones in the OpenID community. We’ve seen some great technical articles from Simon Willison and Sam Ruby that are driving a lot of interest in the platform. MyOpenID.com is seeing some tremendous growth and about 10-15 new OpenID enabled sites a day coming on-line.
We often have people ask to be included in our directory of OpenID enabled sites. I’m going to start highlighting some of the more interesting sites we’re seeing coming along. You’d be amazed at some of the things you can do with that OpenID of yours now … :-)
- Doxory.com: From the folks at Best Practical (makers of the RT trouble ticket software), we have Doxory.com. “Doxory helps you make the important (and not so important) decisions in life.” It allows you to put a question out to the collective masses and ask for a response. Things like “should I take that guitar class this semester?” or “Should I keep Chris Webber on my fantasy basketball team?” are among the questions posed (and hopefully answered) on Doxory. Very fun and very addictive! Try it out yourself!
- Stikis: Stikis.com is exactly what you’d think it would be. A site that allows you to create a bunch of stikis and post them on a page for later viewing. If you work in real-life with stikis, you’ll love this site. You can change their colors and create multiple pages for storing your stikis. Great site and one that I’ll most likely use!
More to come soon enough!
Hi Kveton,
I’m Jared Donovan, the guy behind stikis.com (and therefore responsible for its flaws, as well as the good bits). I just wanted to say thanks for the plug and I’m really pleased that you liked the site.
OpenID (and particularly MyOpenID) has been the best thing that’s happened to my site so far. Everyone I’ve dealt with at MyOpenID has been helpful, enthusiastic and efficient. I wish you guys every success. It’s exciting to be (even marginally) involved with something that has so much potential.
If you (or your readers) have any ideas for where I could improve the service I’d love to hear them. My feedback address is feedback at stikis dot com.
Best, Jared Donovan.
Thanks for the comment Jared and keep up the great work!
