I noticed a user sign into my blog this afternoon that came over from the very cool South African XMPP Federation OpenID Server. I had not seen this yet but it looks to be a XMPP to OpenID gateway … very, very cool!

Woot, starting to get some press! I’ve already had a request to be able to obfuscate the JID using base64 (because email harvesters see jids as email addresses)
btw: Just because it’s South African doesn’t mean only South Africans can use it. Any JID should work. (We seem to be having some issues with gmail though)
