Wordpress OpenID Plugin

I was really excited today to see the release of a new Wordpress OpenID Plugin. This is a brand new plugin and I got it working with just a little tweaking for my specific install here.

Props to Alan and Hans for getting this sucker ready to go!! Come one, come all OpenID users!! :-)

Now, if we can just get this into Wordpress core we could get a cool $5000 for Wordpress.org from the OpenID Bounty Program!

here is another one : openid comments for wordpress: http://the-notebook.org/12/01/2006/openid-comments-for-wordpress/

also turns your blog into an openid server

Does this mean the plugin author gets nothing? This is quite discouraging…

That’s up to the project really … if they would like to they can throw some money the plugin author’s way. We’re really hoping to have more than just libraries and plugins but have them actually integrated into the projects.

What I want to do on my blog, is every few hours take the oldest post and move it to the
front of the queue, all automatically. Anyone know if there is a plugin that can do this or
a simple way to set up another plugin to do this (use my own feed perhaps)?
    Thanks.

Trying to install this plugin, I get the following message:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /srv/www/web3/html/active/wp-content/plugins/wpopenid/openid-registration.php on line 64

    What does it mean???

Testing the plugin, you can remove this test :) I just want to see whether the Nickname is retrieved from the OpenID server.

Great, it does! I think I’ll adopt it for my blog!

Looks good, though the plugin site seems to be down at the moment.

(Sorry to use your site as a sandbox, I’m just testing to see whether I’ve set up OpenID for my site correctly.)

Note: This post is over 2 years old. You may want to check later in this blog to see if there is new information relevant to your comment.
